This week is a first here on Sweet Tooth Sunday…we’re having a showdown.

We ran across two different types of dark chocolate and sea salt caramel sauces and thought…what’s the difference?

Well, there’s only one way to find out. A head to head competition. A showdown. High noon at the OK Corral!

The Players:

Stonwall Kitchen vs. Praline Patisserie

The Test:

First we heated the sauces over a steam bath. We then tried a taste of each one straight from the heat and we also drizzled each over a nicely ripened banana.

Here’s our take on these two sauces: They’re both amazing and both are completely different. The Stonewall sauce is thick, creamy and way more chocolaty than Praline Patisserie’s sauce. To us, it’s a rich chocolate sauce with caramel added.

On the other hand, the Praline Patisserie sauce is a smooth and light. It’s a caramel sauce with hints of chocolate.

My personal favorite…Praline. Anna’s favorite…Stonewall.

I think we need a tiebreak!

It’s a rough job…isn’t it?
