After I sent Sophie and Matt their engagement images, I received a text message…
“We love the images, and one of our favorite things about them is that they bring up such great memories from how fun that day was for us.”
I’ve been thinking about Sophie’s sentence for a couple days and there’s one word that stands out to me: ‘memories.’
We may have created photographs together, but more importantly, we created memories triggered by the images.
And that’s why that sentence is so special to me.
Those memories will be triggered in 10 days and in 10 years.
From the beginnings of my business I’ve wanted to help create an environment centered on your experience. Beautiful, classic images are the byproduct of that experience…but at the core of the imagery we create, whether it be an engagement session or wedding day, is the way you felt in that moment.
I could go on, and on about how important it is to live in the moment but this post is about Sophie and Matt. Getting to know these two has been a joy. After their session we drank cocktails and talked about everything from tech to Seinfeld. They shared their love of popcorn, champaign and movies and I love they were willing to incorporate those every day enjoyments into their session.
These two are totally in love, smart as heck, getting married and creating memories in the process.
Your energy is infectious and thank you so much for having me along for the ride.
Huge thanks to Ever After Events for the perfect introduction
