The day after Christmas 2014 I drove to Orange County to photograph Katie and Jordan. Looking back at the images I still can’t believe this was winter. The rest of the country was dealing with winter storms and cold temperatures and we spent the afternoon wandering oak trees drenched in 70 degree sunlight.
I met Katie and Jordan for the first time on Skype, so this was the first time meeting them in person. As we walked and talked, I understood more about these two. Katie shared about her family holiday traditions…which are a lot. Jordan on the other hand, his family is less structured around the holidays. After talking and listening to how they communicate and share I see these two creating their own unique traditions that are a reflection of their values as individuals and as a couple.
