Week 2 of ‘eye candy’ takes us to the foothills…from Oceans to fields.
I love the tones in this image, the light, the slow sloping line of the hill from left to right and the chaos in the weeds and grass…But the calmness that it also give me when I go back to making the image.
The space was quiet with no one around but the sounds of wind rustling through the tall grass and birds chirping. I’m sure there were large insects and maybe a reptile or two, but thankfully we didn’t cross paths.
As much as this is California to me it’s also taking me back to Illinois sitting in the fields of my great grandparents farm…letting the day pass slowly and soaking in every minute.
