Frequently Asked Questions
How do you approach telling a wedding day story?
I’m a firm believer our most cherished moments happen naturally. Bringing this approach to each wedding day I want to provide the couples I work with the space to experience their day in a natural way, capturing moments to tell a story that is a true reflection of how your day felt.
By taking a step back, encouraging you to live in the moment, I’m working to create a trusting environment open to creativity and natural expression. By blending into the background I’m able to capture moments as you’re experiencing them.
After all, this is your special day; the greatest gift I can give is delivering honest images from within a space where you feel comfortable to live in the moment and express yourself naturally.
While I’m always looking to capture natural moments, there are times throughout the day where directing is necessary. When we need to, we do step in to make sure we’re placing anyone in front of our cameras in good light with flattering angles.
What’s your booking process like? And how do we confirm our date?
Moving forward to the booking process is simple. Once we’ve had a chance to talk and you’ve decided I’m the right photographer for you, we’ll need to create a coverage collection that fits your plans. Once we’ve created the right collection I’ll write up and send to you a contract with all your event and collection details for your signature. Once your contract is signed and we have your 20% retainer paid, I’m officially booked for your date! The balance will be broken up into three payments, with the final payment due 30 days prior to your wedding date.
Will our online gallery include all the images you take on a wedding day?
The images delivered in your final gallery are a curated set of images to tell the entire story of your day. While I do not deliver every single image from your day, the only images I’m omitting are blinks, duplicates, or unflattering expressions. These images in your final gallery are all edited for color, contrast and composition and are high-resolution, ready to print.
How many images will you include in our final gallery?
I’ll typically deliver between 500 to 800 images from an 8 hour wedding day, That number can fluctuate depending on the events you have during your day.
Do you offer videography?
Videography is its own specialized skillset. Therefore, I only offer still photography. Should you need recommendations I’m happy to share names of videographers I’ve worked with and who share a similar demeanor behind the camera.
Do you offer albums? If so, how does that process work?
Absolutely! I believe your photos do not deserve to sit on a thumb drive and should be printed and enjoyed daily.
Once your gallery is delivered, you’ll select your favorite images. From those images I begin the design process. Once your draft is complete, I send a digital proof of the album layout to you. You’ll be able to make comments to adjust image selection and layout. Once I’ve made any adjustments, the album layout is resent for your review. Once we make all your adjustments, and you’re thrilled with the layout, we then go to print.
